The Town of Long Harbour – Mt. Arlington Heights (LH-MAH) (aka – Long Harbour) is located on the Western Avalon Peninsula. We are the home of Vale’s new multi-billion dollar nickel processing plant — the largest and most technologically advanced Hydromet Nickel Processing Plant in the world.

The community is conveniently located just 11 kilometers from the Trans Canada Highway on newly upgraded route 202 access road. We are just over an hours drive from the capital city of St. John’s. The town is in close proximity to other major industrial projects in the region such as, the Bull Arm fabrication site, the West White Rose project at Argentia, and the Braya Renewable Fuels development at Come-By-Chance and Greig Aquaculture developments in Placentia Bay.

One only needs to take a drive through the community to be awed by its magnificent harbour and scenery. Schools, medical and dental services, government offices, banking services and a supermarket are readily available within 20 minutes of the community. The town boasts a new fire hall, playgrounds, walking trails, and a new outdoor recreation complex.
